Bane is a figurative painting and installation artist based in New York.

Bane, born in west palm beach fl describes creating art as a compulsion. Bane likes big canvases, and he cannot lie.

While in high school he began painting murals and would build canvases with 2x4’s and bedsheets to finally find canvases large enough for him. At the same time took figure drawing classes, exploring not just the form but the mass and capturing 3-d space in a 2-d way. Exploring the figure has become a pillar with his art practice, along with working on a large scale. He’s completed public art’s projects for the city of miami, west palm beach, and the related group. And continues to search for new challenges with public art to engage communities.

His studio practice is a growing changing, creature. Similar to his studio space that he will continually change and develop. But always exploring the human condition, consumerism, love, intimacy, and death.

In 2019 he began creating still lives after having a year of continuous death of loves ones. The first installation, ascension. Was a skeleton consumed and immersed with orchids. Shifting his practice from painting, but into the full world allowing audiences to walk around and under.
